Your desk made its home
In my bedroom
I have never written upon its top

Gifted, from your father
A gift, to your granddaughter

I wear your black-onyx ring nearly everyday
Once walking two hours, retracing my steps,
To look for this missing talisman

It was found later, deep in a side cargo-pocket of my pants
What else can I find tucked away, if I dare to look?
